The moulding style is interesting having a deliberately naive style to simulate incisions with a spatula. The major manufacturers were no doubt envious of the prices achieved by the flawed 'craftsman' tiles produced by the arts & crafts movement companies like William de Morgan & Co. Rarely square or with good edges many companies introduced designs that were deliberately intended to appear naive and handmade.
