Such designs were popular from around 1890, this would be one of the earlier examples, and in to the 1900s when many were made in majolica. Such circular floral designs are often confusedd with art nouveau especially in majolica but are only lightly stylised if at all for such arrangements can be seen in nature particularly when plants are trained as was common at the time.
