high points and other minor marks. Style: Arts & crafts floral A nice Wedgwood patent impressed and
barbotine stencil tile illustrating berries on
the branch. This bears the lowest pattern number
of any Wedgwood stencilled tile we have records
of, from the numbering it appears that well over
three thousand design were made in this
process. The sage clay biscuit is impressed with green
clay dust, the design applied with slips through
stencils and then blue stain painted over the
berries. Verso very clean but smoke stain along one
edge, embossed Wedgwood Patent Impressed etc and
painted pattern number.
