Four minute rim chips, the tiny mark on the
green left bottom edge is a manufacturing flaw. Style: Gothic/Hispano-moresque A nice small tile, embossed and enamelled in
eight colours, the design a floral medallion
overlaid by a cross with further floral motifs.
How to categorise? - I suggest a fusion of
gothic and hispano-moresque. Likely predating
1870 due to the lack of "patent tile works"
verso. Versos perfectly clean, embossed, Minton
Hollins & Co, Stoke on Trent, No. 91. Two very tiny, two minute rim chips, two very
tiny, two minute surface chips, the light mark on
the green left bottom edge is a glaze miss.
