Perfect rim and very near
perfect surface too. Unnamed verso. Style: Arts & crafts floral An excellent arts & crafts floral design,
lively, highly stylised and asymmetric painted
in pinks and rich ruby lustre. Painted with four
hues of ruby lustre, it is rare to fond more
than two, simply amazing colours. Possibly
designed by Lewis Day who did a number of
lustres tiles for the company around the same
time. Some variations in the colouring as usual
but all absolutely wonderful. Versos very clean, various grips
patterns/legends, some embossed, Maw and/or
England and/or internal factory marks. Very tiny chips/roughness
bottom right corner, extremely minor surface
marks. Unnamed verso. Very tiny chip lower left,
some very light marks to the lustre. Embossed Maw
etc. Minute rim chip bottom edge right corner, tiny
scrape near mid left, very slight marks to the
lustre. Embossed Maw etc, pencil
annotations (pattern number?). Perfect rim, very minor
surface marks. Embossed Maw etc, pencil
annotations (pattern number and price
code?). Perfect rim, a very light
scratch, other very minor marks to the
lustre. Unnamed.
