Two very tiny, two minute rim chips, surface
very near perfect, minor manufacturing flaws. Style: Art
Nouveau A good art nouveau design from Boote with a
little of the celtic at the base and a hint of
Mackintosh in the central flower. Clearly a
design for a frieze but these were fitted
vertically in fireplace cheeks, has appeal as a
stand-alone tile especially with these colours,
the burgundy is excellent colour although not as
brilliant as red glazes by other companies and
the tonal tan and yellow makes for appealing
flowerheads. Boote not always the best at glaze
painting and reds seem to attract a larger
proportion of firing flaws, all in all an
excellent example of this design, great for
those whose favourite colour is red or to
achieve colour balance in a decorative
scheme. Versos perfectly clean, embossed England. Wear top left corner, one minute rim chip,
surface very near perfect, minor manufacturing
flaws.
