An excellent tile panel from the famous
designer Charles Francis Annesley Voysey. Well
known being well illustrated but somewhat
elusive in real life, exhibited at The Glasgow
Exhibition in 1901 and illustrated in The Studio
magazine, also found in Pilkington's Tiles
1891-2010 by Angela & Barry Corbett and
Pilkington's Royal Lancastrian Pottery and Tiles
by Anthony Cross. Quite rarely found and this a
superb example in near perfect condition and
super brilliant glazes in three shades of green.
This is the original colourway number one the
most attractive colourway I have seen to date,
also seen in monochrome green and brown.
