Very minor marks. Style: Art
Nouveau This is a great tile. Small art nouveau
designs are generally later but this not so late
the pattern number indicating an introduction
date of 1908-09. Something else somewhat unusual
is the painted stems, it is only Richards that
both painted and polychrome glazed relatively
frequently. What really makes it are the
colours, fabulous turquoise background, mauve
and blue for the main part of the flower, a dot
of brown in the middle, painting in browns for
the stamens, green glaze leaves and green
painting for the stems. A total of seven colours
which is a great part of the attraction. Versos pefectly clean but a little stain,
embossed copyright and England, painted pattern
number. One very tiny rim chip, three minute rim chips,
touches of wear to the outline otherwise surface
near perfect, other exceedingly minor marks.
