Few Wedgwood collectors will recognise these
for they are rather rare, we see one or two
pairs of these per decade at most, and always
unmarked. I'm actually not sure how many there
are for there is a somewhat similar set with
insects which for sure has more than two so
there may be four or even six. High relief,
unusual for Wedgwood who overwhelmingly produced
ordinary printed tiles.
Versos clean but grubby/stained, painted
pattern number.
Minor losses to the rim, right bird has small
chip on its head, left bird has a touch of wear,
a few other tiny chips to the relief but for the
most part excellent, what appears to be a
damaged corner is a glazed-over manufacturing
flaw.
