Very tiny chip, four minute rim chips, two short
scratches, other very minor surface marks. Very
clean and bright. Style: Art
nouveau A good Art Nouveau design, with nice warm
brown ground and flowers shaped like flames,
being decorated in blue and yellow great for a
gasfitter! Verso clear of adhesive but smoke
stained. * There were at least three companies with
Corn in the name and two Corn Bros. E. R. Corn
who started the tile business in 1891 said of
the transfer of the busness to the new Pinnox
Works in 1903, "at the same time, the existence
of two other concerns bearing the family name
-"Corn Bros." and "Corn Bros. & Co." -
having led to confusion, the name of W. & E.
Corn was allowed to lapse and the firm became
"The Henry Richards Tile Company Limited".
