An uncommon though not rare very full yet bright
aesthetic design the central vignette of a young woman
wearing a large hat with wintry trees in the background.
The vignette perched in a japanesque blossoming branch
with stylised floral and cracked ice borders above and
below further surrounded by circular borders and foliate
motifs in the corners. Quite amazing how they squeezed it
all in a yet still retained a clean bright look. Perhaps
one of a series of four representing the seasons of the
year.
Malkin though a not well recognised name were a great
company, they produced super designs in the popular
styles and mediums for several decades.
