Slight marks to corners, other exceedingly minor
marks. A superb and very rare tile featuring art
nouveau styled roses in a well balanced design
and with an excellent range of colours amongst
the most christmassy red and greens colours
found on tiles. A good red ground, mauvy flowers
with turquoise highlights also used for the buds
nearby and two greens for the stems and
leaves. Reds from Corn are rare, all I have seen
apart from a handful with a little red in the
flowers have been monochrome and few at that. I
have not seen a red ground multicolour tile
before from them. And this is a good red too,
not perfect (it's a great challenge to find one
of those!) but it's quite well painted without
too much reaction with neighbouring colours and
nicely bright (reds can tend to be dull and
greyish). Versos very clean, embossed C in opposing
corners and copyright. Condition: Very good Very tiny chip top right corner, very light
scratches near the corners, grey mark bottom right
corner a glazing flaw. Very tiny chip top left corner, three minute rim
chips, surface is near perfect just minor marks
near the rim.
