A two tile frieze panel most dramatic in
style and in great colours. Natural colours for
the ground and leaves with super mid blue
flowers well pressed and excellently decorated.
An uncommon manufacturer and most rare pair of
tiles to be found especially in this condition
as they were fixed to walls rather than fitted
in to furniture. Will add a bold statement to
most collections of art nouveau tiles.
These tiles were used stand alone as a frieze
and also as the tops of vertical panels for use
in dados etc, see the images from the original
catalogue below. The catalogue page can be found
reproduced in Chris Blanchett's book 20thC
Decorative British Tiles.
We have available a little over two
running yards (double the panel as shown in
the catalogue image below plus a few spares) of
the dado pattern with the full height flowers as
shown an excellent and rare opportunity to
purchase a good set of suitable dimensions for
sides of an entranceway, back panel behind a bar
or counter, tiling to dado height with plains
above in a large corner shower etc.
Versos perfectly clean, unmarked but
characteristic Mansfield grips and found in
their catalogue.
