An excellent scene of putti ploughing and
sowing representing springtime hand painted in
dark and chocolate browns. Most unusual
dimensions, 8 3/8" x 7", clearly a limited
edition, perhaps bespoke, made for a one-off
piece of furniture.
Verso very clean, unmarked, a 12" x 12"
Mintons blank (in itself most unusual) cut to
size. It may possibly have been painted at the
Kensington Gore Studio.
Very tiny marks around the rim debatable as
to whether damge or manufacturing flaws. In any
case all marks very tiny and at the rim, surface
is perfect.
