A fabulous group of blue and white tiles,
very clean looking with strong and soft blues on
a bright white clay. In original condition, from
a super quality but unfortunately abused piece
of furniture. Made by Maw & Co and likely
designed by Lewis Day who did numeous designs of
a similar nature for them in the time period.
The furniture was dated 29/10/1880 giving
unusual precision to the dating of tiles.
The group was arranged as shown above and in
a clip from a photo of the furniture at the
bottom, but is suited for other arrangements.
Super colouring for a bathroom or kitchen, we
may split the group if fewer are required.
In original condition, whilst the furniture
was worn and damaged beyond repair the tiles
show no damage in the passing of time. There are
a couple of original tiny chips and other very
minor manufacturing flaws
Versos perfectly clean, Maw's Patent Double
Grip.
