Some light wear/roughness to the rim in part in
manufacture, one very tiny glaze chip. Style: Art
Nouveau An uncommon design, a cross between the
'triple tulip' and the 'flower and two buds'
style but with rather lively stems and leaves,
overall a very fluid design. Super clean and
bright. Other examples of the genre mostly have erect
stems and rather more formal and symmetrical
leaves, this design is close to fully
asymmetric, the main flower has near perfect
symmetry but the remainder is fully asymmetric.
It's interesting to see which designs were
popular in the day and which are most enjoyed by
collectors, most often it is the less
conventional designs that did not sell so well
in the day that are more sought by
collectors. Versos near perfectly clean, embossed L.
& B. T. and England. Minute chip bottom left corner, rubbing to high
points. One very tiny chip near top right corner
otherwise only the very slightest of marks, perfect
glaze surface. Only the very slightest of marks.
