Very tiny chip top left corner, another mid
right with a tiny touch of roughness, other marks
are manufacturing flaws, the glaze has bubbled near
the rim. Style: Art
nouveau A very rare and utterly charming art nouveau
floral design from Corn Bros and Frederick
Newbrook. Art nouveau with a light touch, the
style is unmistakable for a devotee yet easily
missed by the uninitiated. Rare because it is
not often seen, rare in technique for instead of
a raised outline it has an impressed outline,
rare stylistically for Corn Bros indeed most any
company of the time however Maw & Co
produced some similarly lifelike yet utterly art
nouveau designs. Verso clean but a little grubby, embossed C
in opposing corners and copyright.
