Perfect condition, minute spot of kiln dirty top
left. Style: Art
nouveau/heraldic An outstanding art nouveau tile with an
abstract heart-like design in shades of blue
with tan embellishments. An elusive design and
just wonderful to have found it in these
colours. The design I have known for many years,
it is on the catalogue sheet made in to a
display at the Gladstone Pottery Museum but
finding one in the flesh has until now been
frustrating. On the catalogue sheet it is shown
in monochrome but this is in glorious colours, I
can't recall ever seeing a tile with four shades
of blue. Versos near perfectly clean, embossed England
and registration number, painted pattern
number. Perhaps a slight chip top left corner or maybe a
manufacturing flaw otherwise perfect. Tiny chips top left corner, two minute chips
bottom edge, perfect surface. One very tiny, two minute chips bottom edge,
perfect surface.
