Two very tiny, four minute rim chips, minor
surface marks. Style: Art
nouveau secessionist Another extraordinary rare tile from Mintons,
the first I can recall seeing and I doubt I
could forget. A great design likely by
Léón Solon, certainly under his
influence for he became art director around the
time it was introduced as determined by the
pattern number. Blues, mustard and yellow, great
colours, adorn a fabulous secessionist design.
Very rare to find tiles of this size, we get
asked for them but they are virtually
unobtainable. A great tile for the Mintons/
secessionist collector who 'has everything'.
Easy to fit in any collection and an affordable
rarity. Verso very clean, embossed Mintons etc
(faintly), painted pattern number.
