Tiny chip bottom edge, white dot top right a
manufacturing flaw, other minor manufacturing
flaws. Style: Art
nouveau One of the boldest of all art nouveau designs
filling the tile and with a massive 'Mackintosh'
style rose. Quite a rarity in Britain but was a
popular export to Uruguay where they were used
in courtyards. Rarely found in fireplaces and
furniture as even a slender frame will overlap
the design it is more often used on walls than
similar bold designs. Versos very clean, embossed England, painted
pattern number. Very tiny chip to the outline bottom right
(looks to be mostly a manufacturing flaw), minute
outline chip left bottom.
