Perfect rim, very minor surface marks. • Style: Art
Nouveau A pretty light art nouveau design tubelined
with roses in the Glasgow style the roses almost
of classic Mackintosh Rose form, in three nice
blues and green leaves. I have seen three of
this design that I can recall the other two, one
of which is in my collection, in somewhat
unusual earth tones. The darker spots are
indents in the clay underglaze, though random it
would seem unlikely they are by accident rather
to create an sense of arts & crafts as we
see with distressed clay from other makers. Verso very clean, embossed England, painted
pattern number which perhaps represents a
special order.
