Chipping bottom right corner looks to be for the
orignal installation, chip top right corrner looks
to be more recent, there are a few marks near to
side edges apparently from the fireplace frame but
for the most part the surface is perfect and most
brilliantly glazed. • Style:
Floral This tile unfortunately has some damage and
we try to avoid tiles with damage on this site
but this is a worthy exception. A rare tile the
design extremely rarely found, rare by the
technique, rare by the subject matter, rare in
terms of manufacturing quality for the
technique. Embossed in high relief featuring a rabbit in
a bed of carnations in mostly reserved earth
tones and bright red for the flowers. There
being no raised or impressed outline to contain
the glazes the painting quality is exceptional
and the image is fine, for collectors who frame
their tiles it will display perfectly. Verso very clean, some rust stain, embossed
