Couple very slight marks, speck of kiln dirty
and glaze misses. Style: Art
nouveau Quite a rarity, I had only a poor example in
more typical colours in my collection. An
idiosyncratic design, art nouveau introduced to
the marketplace a new approach to design
including art deco as eary as 1905. This could
be viewed as art deco, the pattern number
indicates around 1912 for its introduction and
this is colourway number 4 so one of the first
released. Verso perfectly clean, embossed England and
copyright, painted pattern number. Slight loss top left corner, some light
scratches and couple losses to the outline most
likely from washstand basin etc, speck of kiln
dirty and glaze misses..
