A great art nouveau design and rarely found,
I have seen just one burgundy example and two
similar green previously, the highly translucent
green glaze has so much more brilliance than the
burgunday and accentuates the relief to its
greatest potential. The design vivaciously fills
the tile, the high relief and superb
translucency and brilliance of the glaze gives
due justice to the modelling and moulding
creating a superb diversity of tonal greens, an
excellent example of the tremblay
technique/effect. Verso similarly moulded
ensuring a consistent thickness of clay for
strength and durability.
